Agrofest

Lively agricultural show & family fun day (Feb)

Barbados Blackbelly ewes in a sheepdog trial

Agrofest is a hugely enjoyable three-day agricultural show held at Queen’s Park (this entry’s map location), in central Bridgetown.

Although principally a trade show bringing together fisherfolk, vegetable, fruit and livestock farmers, there’s plenty to entertain the general public: livestock competitions, a dog show, a kids’ corner, tuk bands and 300 plus stalls, where you’ll also find plenty of delicious local produce for sale.

After sunset the volume is pumped up as the crowds are entertained by live music and DJs.

Note that on the Friday many school groups attend during the day.

Agrofest is usually held over the last weekend of February or the first weekend in March (Fri & Sat 10am–9pm, Sun 8am–9pm).

Queen’s Park is a five-minute walk from Fairchild St Bus Terminal (Bridgetown).
