Leura

The Blue Mountains' prettiest town

Big Tea Pot, Leura

Katoomba may be the largest town in the Blue Mountains, but Leura is its most picturesque. It’s somewhat more exclusive than its neighbour and much loved for its old cool-climate gardens, historic cottages and snug feel.

Cherry trees and small, crafty boutiques line its main shopping street, Leura Mall, while October’s Leura Gardens Festival draws large crowds.

The town is well known for its walking trails, among them the moderately difficult Prince Henry Cliff Walk, a 7km trail with jaw-dropping valley views on its way west to Katoomba.
