Restaurants

Thai cuisine enjoys an enviable reputation worldwide, and this acclaim is justified by the staggering diversity of ingredients and types of preparation. In fact, you could easily justify a holiday here just to explore Thailand’s myriad eating possibilities.

While there are plenty of upmarket restaurants, especially in Bangkok, where every effort has been made to provide the ideal dining ambience, many Thais prefer to eat in simple surroundings such as at street food stalls, which often serve just one dish but do it very well.

If you want to learn how to create some Thai dishes yourself, you’ll find cooking schools in all the major tourist towns that can make a Thai chef of you.
