Sobrasada (sobrassada)

Raw cured sausage

A raw cured sausage with a distinctive orange colour and paté-like texture, sobrasada comes from the Balearic Islands.

Made from ground pork, pimentón and locally-grown red peppers, the sausage is cured in the open air for between one and eight months. Its texture mean that it is idea for spreading on bread.
