St-Rémy: Musée Estrine

If you are into contemporary paintings then the Musée Estrine is an essential visit during your time in St-Rémy.

Permanent collection

Housed in a magnificent 18th century mansion just off Rue Carnot, the Musée Estrine exhibits its permanent collection of 20th and 21st century works of art created by the likes of Bernard Buffet, Albert Gleizes, André Marchand, Édouard Pignon, Paul Rebeyrolle, Léon Zack and Ossip Zadkine.

The Museum also features temporary exhibitions of major artists and artistic movements (for details see website)

Van Gogh Europe Partner

Musée Estrine is also a partner in this project which associates places and institutions related to the great man’s life and work. It houses the Van Gogh Interpretation Centre which helps visitors to appreciate his life and work which still has such an influence on many modern painters.
