Officially named Palacio Nazarenas, A Belmond Hotel is right next to the Belmond’s Monasterio. They have the same high quality accommodations, food and service but one thing really sets them apart. Palacio Nazarenas is the only hotel in Cusco with an outdoor swimming pool. I have not been swimming in it, as it is exclusive for the guests, but it looks lovely.
This is a giant, sprawling hotel that has a second large courtyard besides the courtyard that’s mostly taken up by the pool. The hotel has two restaurants, plus a bar, all of which have excellent food and drinks.
At this Belmond hotel you can expect all the luxury and personalized service that you’d get next door at the Belmond Monasterio. I particularly like the rooftop terrace and the ridiculously ornate colonial furniture and decorations in the lobby. The spa is fabulous and they have great salsa lessons.
