Cordillera Blanca Day Tours

Prepare for a drive

Cordillera Blanca from Wilkacocha

There are over a dozen of agencies in Huaraz that organize tours to the more famous lakes in the region. They take you into the Cordillera Blanca and most are about a 3-hour drive each way. Below are the most popular of a long list of choices.

You can do most of these tours on your own with public transportation or a private taxi. However, if you’re going from Huaraz it’s cheaper and more time effective to take a tour. If you want to get started earlier than the tours leave, or depart from another town, it might be easier to go without a tour.

Check with the agency if you should bring a lunch. For Lake 69 you need to bring all your food but Parón and Pastoruri have stops at restaurants.
