Kids & Families

For many families Nice is all about beaches; well, there are 25 of them after all. They stretch out along the beautiful Baie des Anges and are accessed from the Promenade des Anglais. If you tire of these, then other legendary beaches can be found at other resorts along the Coast.

If you prefer the mountains and fresh air then head out of town for the Parc National du Mercantour where you'll find plenty of activities all year round.

One resort in the park, La Colmiane, is particularly family-friendly with lots to do from winter-sports to summer farm tours, trampolining and mini-golf .

Prefer gardens and parks? Check out the Albert I Garden between the Promenade and the Place Masséna - here you'll find plenty of grassy space for games away from the bustle of the city.

There's more horticulture on show at Parc Phoenix where a selection of animals is sure to delight younger kids; older kids will enjoy Alpha Loup, an educational centre all about wolves and way up in the mountains of Parc National du Mercantour where they still survive.
