Eden Park

NZ's national stadium / Auckland

From Mt Eden

The country’s national stadium opened in 1900 and boasts seating for 50,000 (60,000 with temporary seating added).

Eden Park hosts all sorts of national and international sporting events and is seen on screens worldwide hosting rugby and cricket matches. The ground hosted the Rugby World Cup finals in 1987 & 2011, both won by the All Blacks. In 2023, one of the semi-finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup was played here.

In 2021 it also become a concert venue, despite protests of noise disturbance by neighbours – 50,000 turned out for the first concert by Kiwi band Six60.

Eden Park is a short walk from Kingsland train station.
