Marlborough Wine

NZ's largest wine-producing region

NewZealandWairauValleyVineyards033

Marlborough produces about 75% of NZ’s wine, and while it’s name is known world-wide for sauvignon blanc, you’ll also find top-notch, chardonnay, pinot noir, riesling, pinot gris and gewurtztraminer. With around 250sq km of vineyards, about 35 wineries are open to the public, with a number of places offering excellent dining options.

You could keep yourself more than happy here for a week, but our picks are:

Cloudy Bay - 230 Jacksons Rd

Hans Herzog Estate - 81 Jeffries Road

Yealands Estate - cnr Seaview & Reserve Rds, Seddon

Wither Hills - 211 New Renwick Rd

Te Whare Ra - 56 Anglesea St, Renwick
