Ben & Jerry’s Factory Tours

Ice cream cold off the conveyor

Waterbury

In 1978, two hippie entrepreneurs from New York opened an ice cream store in Burlington, VT because the equipment to make bagels was too expensive.

It’s been Cherry Garcia, Chubby Hubby, and New York Super Fudge Chunk ever since.

The Ben & Jerry’s factory tour is a chance to see a working ice cream factory in action and test out new flavors, with non-diary and vegan options available.

The 45 minute tour often sells out, so book ahead.

Even if tours are sold out, there is still access to the gift shop, scoop shop, and the graveyard of retired flavors.
