Summer: June, July, & Aug

Summer: June, July & Aug

Summer is warm and humid, with coastal breezes in places like Cape Cod and Acadia. It’s school vacation for much of the season too, making it peak season for most attractions - with accommodation prices jumping everywhere except ski resorts.

Temperatures: 70°F to 90°F (21°C to 32°C), sometimes higher during heat waves

Light clothing, sunscreen, bug spray (especially in forested/rural areas).

Events

  • Boston Pride for the People (June, Boston) One of the largest and oldest Pride events in New England. The parade, festival, and weeklong events highlight queer voices and activism in a deeply historic city.

  • Whoopie Pie Festival (Dover-Foxcroth, ME; June) Gorge on Whoopie Pies - cocoa and marshmallow cakes –  in Maine.
