Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez (AICM)

Several ground transportation options

Latin America’s busiest airport is also known as Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México. A monorail connects Terminals 1 and 2. Most international airlines operate out of Terminal 1, with the exception of Delta, Aeromexico and Copa Airlines. The arrivals terminals have numerous money exchange booths, ATMs and car rental booths. You have three options to reach town.

Taxis

The quickest and most convenient transport. Use either the Uber ride-hailing app or purchase tickets from the authorized taxi companies with booths inside the terminal. Do not hail street cabs outside the airport.

Bus

Metrobús Line 4 runs frequently from the airport terminals to the city center for M$30. Buy a smart card from machines inside the terminal. The bus takes about 35 minutes to reach the Centro Histórico, however, if you're staying elsewhere in town you're better off taking a cab.

Metro

The entrance to Metro station Terminal Aérea (Line 5) is just outside Sala (Gate) A. At M$5 pesos, it's one cheap ride but the typically crowded metro cars can be difficult to navigate with luggage. Also, you'll probably need to transfer to another line to reach your destination. Airport information kiosks provide free Metro maps.
