555 Famous Club
Big club south of town
Originally a beach club in Tangier, 555 Famous Club has opened a branch in Marrakesh, which has quickly become the most popular club in this hotel zone south of town.
555 is quite pricey, but the good news is that most nights are ladies' nights, which should in principle mean that women not only get in for free, but also get certain alcoholic drinks for free too, although they are somewhat erratic about honouring this.
The music here is a mix of electronica, hip-hop, French and Arabic sounds, and the crowd is similarly mixed, but the club has been known to refuse entry to people wearing trainers, and there have been reports of racial discrimination against Black customers, and attempted theft by security guards (check out some of the Tripadvisor reviews on this).
