Kechmara
Cool bar with food and music (l,d; $$$)
Kechmara is one of Marrakesh's coolest bars, if a bit on the pricey side. You can treat it as a café and come here for coffee, or treat it as a restaurant and come here to eat, or treat it as a bar, and come here to drink.
The downstairs bar is light and modern, but the best place to hang out is the rooftop terrace, where they have live music (soul, funk, jazz, rock) on Wednesday and Friday nights from 8.30pm. Downstairs they have occasional art exhibitions.
The food (served noon–midnight) is bistro-style (steak au poivre 170dh, fish and chips 110dh), and to drink they have local and imported beers (from 60dh), plus wines, juices, and a small range of cocktails and mocktails. At 6–7.30pm, they have a happy hour with half-price cocktails, and on Sundays they have a 10am–4pm brunch.
