L'Orientaliste is a double shop full of lovely things for the home.
There are two sections to L'Orientaliste. The one at 15 Rue de la Liberté is a cosy boutique specializing in trinkets and small objets d'art. They have some interesting bits and pieces, including watches and pieces of jewellery dating from the 1920s onwards, plus glassware, and their own perfumes and scented candles.
A few doors down, the branch of L'Orientaliste at 11 Rue de la Liberté (round the side of Al Jawda), while still retaining its cosy feel, is more of a warehouse for larger home furnishings and decor, including ceramics (largely from Fez), furniture (some of which is in fact is from Syria rather than Morocco) and even old film posters, plus a few clothes and soft cushions.
Either way, L'Orientaliste, and particularly the branch at #15, is a great place to find a tasteful little souvenirs or gifts, and definitely worth a browse.
