Place Vendôme is Marrakesh's top shop for high-quality, well-made Moroccan leatherware.
You can find plenty of leather goods in the Medina souks, much of it pretty shoddy, but for quality, and no hard-sell, come to Place Vendôme. They have a range of goods made from various types of leather, including suede, and Morocco leather of course, all stylish and well-made.
Enjoy the smell as you come into the shop, and check out the wallets, purses and handbags. Small items start at around 100dh.
They also have an excellent range of clothing, mostly ladies', including dresses, jackets and coats, which you can check out at your leisure. And with prices fixed and marked, shopping here is altogether a more relaxed experience than amidst the hustle and bustle of the souk (where you would not, in any case, find items like the ones they sell here).
