Museo del Traje

A trip through the history of clothes & costume

Museo del Traje II

A low-key but intriguing museum tucked away in the university campus area close to Moncloa, that guides visitors through the history of clothes and costume.

Highlights include garments from a thirteenth century royal burial, a collection of stylish Rococo shoes and a metallic Paco Rabane mini-skirt. There is a host of other fascinating items on display from Spanish and international designers, including Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Givenchy, Balenciaga and Coco Chanel.

There is an upmarket restaurant in the grounds, which has a cool garden terrace in the summer
