Museo Nacional de Antropología/Etnología
Offbeat anthropological museum
A slightly offbeat and rather eccentric museum that is home to the National Anthropology and Ethnography collection.
Exhibits cover some of the cultures encountered by Spanish explorers and colonists, including shrunken skulls from the Canary Islands, ceremonial masks from Asia and the skeleton of one 2.35m tall man who earned his keep as a circus attraction.
The museum often hosts interesting temporary exhibitions.
