Health

Health

Public health concerns have had a huge impact on many activities in the National Parks, including the Grand Canyon. The situation is continually being updated with new regulations coming or going on at least a monthly basis and new local outbreaks threatening extra restrictions at a moment's notice.

One result has been that opening hours have become very unreliable, and because the situation is fluid we suggest you check the status of any attraction, restaurant, bar or venue shortly before visiting.

Travel restrictions

At those times when restrictions on travel are imposed, it is likely that on the South Rim the south entrance at Tusayan is the last to close.

You may also find all park dining limited to take-out food, camping limited and the shuttle bus service suspended. Face masks are also likely to be required at all indoor public areas and outdoors where physical distancing's not possible.
