National Park Visitor Centers

Books, info, museums & more

To get the deep-down secrets about the canyon, what to do, and where to go, visit one of the park visitor centers. Ask a ranger, buy a book, study the displays and exhibits, and plan your visit to make the best of your time exploring the majestic canyon. The more you learn about the geology of those multicolored layers, the incredible adaptation of the wildlife and plants, and human history predating the cliff-dwellers, the richer your experience will be.

The Canyon View Information Plaza, Vercamps Visitor Center, Yavapai Observation Station, and Tusayan Museum all offer inside info on canyon activities and quality gift shops.

The Information Plaza complex includes a bookstore, bike rentals, café, shuttle bus station, and Mather Point a short walk away.
