Heritage Square
Free entertainment
Free is not just good, it’s best, and that’s the price of live music, theater, and entertainment in the Empress Amphitheater in Heritage Square in the heart of the historic district.
Summer comes alive with concerts Thurs. at 5–7 p.m. from Memorial through Labor Day. Live music also precedes screenings of G and PG movies Sat. at sunset all summer.
The plaza and covered picnic pavilion make a great hangout to observe the diversity of people. Restaurants, from gourmet and ethnic to diners and burgers, galleries, shops, boutiques, and clubs surround the square.
