Galaxy Diner
Blast from the past with 100 flavors (b,l,d)
Imagine how Vegas would design a 1950s diner and you get the Galaxy Diner in Flagstaff. Appropriately named, this reborn Route 66 icon has a galaxy of neon, a nova of glittering chrome, and a constellation of movie memorabilia. Now add a roadhouse menu about twice as good as any from the era, a soda fountain with 100 flavors of shakes, 1950-60s music, and you have a gee-whiz family restaurant. French tourists love the all-American menu, neon juke box, and retro furnishings; I go for the food. Wine and beer served. Located on old Rt. 66, I-40 Business.
