Riordan Mansion State Park

Timber barons' legacy

How does a timber baron live in 1904?

Enter the Riordan Mansion and be amazed at the lack of opulence of the two brothers who helped make Flagstaff what it is today. They married two sisters and built separate wings with 40 rooms and a common living area.

The 19th-century Arts & Crafts style grandeur is like hunting-lodge luxury by today’s standards–but it was the frontier.

Guided tours of the mansion with its original furnishings daily on the hour 10 a.m.–4 p.m. (beginning 11 a.m. winter). Monday Brown Bag Lunch Lectures cover topics from Apollo and Rt. 66 to volcanoes.
