Rod’s Steak House
Bull in the sky ($$)
In 1946 when the hungry traffic flowed West on the Mother Road, Rodney Graves served his first prime rib platter, and nothing much has changed with this family-run restaurant. The menu still is shaped like a cow, except now you can get fish, shrimp, chicken, and even “home-style” liver along with lady’s, regular, and cattleman’s cut prime rib au jus. The giant bull-shaped sign is reminiscent of Rt. 66 kitsch, but the reviews are generally favorable.
