Transport

1258 Buses Edinburgh (1)

Despite its many hills, Edinburgh is pedestrian-friendly and many visitors only end up using public transport to and from the airport. But it's well-worth finding out what bus routes pass your accommodation, to save tired legs at the end of a day.

LEZ

If you’re driving into the city centre, you’ll want to know about the Edinburgh Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) which restricts use of most diesel vehicles and petrol vehicles registered before 2006. Drive into the Old Town or New Town in a non-compliant vehicle, then cameras will pick this up and you’ll be sent a bill. Details at edinburgh.gov.uk/lez.
