Bude Sea Pool

A rocky-bottomed infinity pool

Bude Sea Pool

A swim in Bude Sea Pool is one of Cornwall’s most memorable dips. The tidal lido was built in the 1930s by adding a pool wall to a massive natural bowl of rock.

The result is a part-constructed, part-natural 90m by 45m pool. Fresh sea water floods in twice a day. Depending on tide and weather conditions, you can be floating above an expanse of sand, or swimming in calm water besidea turbulent sea.

The pool is free to swim in, although the Friends of Bude Sea Pool welcome donations.
