Accommodation

Burgh island

Devon and Cornwall have a wide range of accommodation, but it’s best to book well in advance for summer and school holidays.

The market is split three ways:

Budget

Budget offerings include lots of campsites –Dartmoor also has camping barns and bunkhouses.

You are allowed to wild camp in some parts of Dartmoor National Park, provided you stick to some simple but strict rules – check the regulations and wild camping map here. Be aware too that irresponsible camping has caused damage and local tensions in recent years.

Troytown Campsite

You’ll find hostels in many resorts, and in the cities of Plymouth, Exeter and Truro. There are also surf lodges dotted around the region.
