CITC Supermarket

The island's largest supermarket

Between the harbour and the airport in Avarua, this is the place to head to for self-caterers.

With lots of parking, it’s similar to your everyday supermarket back home, but keep in mind that most of the products have been shipped in from NZ and some have been sitting on the shelves for a while.

There’s lots of processed food. It pays to inspect imported fruit and veg carefully.

There’s also a smaller CITC Foodland supermarket in Avarua’s main street, plus a number of convenience-store style CITC grocery & petrol stations around Rarotonga.
