Whale Watching & Swimming

Aitutaki: July to October

Humpback

Between July and October, Humpback whales migrate north from colder southern seas to warmer waters for mothers to give birth to their calves. Once settled, the Humpacks are renowned for jumping, playing, sky hopping, flipper flapping, tail slapping, breaching and more.

Aitutaki’s Wet & Wild offers both watching and swimming options as part of a scheduled daily departure or as a charter. Trips include snorkelling gear if required.

Dive Aitutaki also run whale watch and swim operations.
