Outside Brighton

Arundel Castle

Brighton is well situated as a base to explore the Sussex countryside and nearby towns and villages. Eastbourne, an elegant seaside resort and historical Lewes, famous for its Bonfire night, are both easily accessible from the city.

Arundel Castle, a restored medieval castle makes a great day trip from the city and Seven Sisters Country Park is a beautiful place to take a hike, with an abundance of trails and scenic views.

Druisillas Wildlife Park is fun for the kids and adults will enjoy the nearby country village of Alfriston with its cute shops and traditional pubs.

Closer to the city, The Undercliff Walk is a bracing seaside walk which can include a pub lunch at Rottingdean, known for its smuggling history and connection to Rudyard Kipling.
