Celtic Festival

Bagpipes in Bim

While the focus is on Barbados’ links with Scottish, Welsh and Irish Heritage, the (sometimes) annual Celtic Festival brings in pipers, drummers and dancers from various other countries. They join up with the Barbados Defence Force Band and assorted others to parade, drum, sing and dance at various venues on the island.

The multi-day May event also usually includes workshops and recitals, with the final fling a fun-filled ceilidh.
