Red Rock Canyon

An easy stroll; a gentle hike & more...

The Red Rock Parkway, a scenic access road, weaves up Blakiston Creek for about 15km to the water-sculpted Red Rock Canyon.

The canyon is one of the park’s most picturesque spots, and the easy Red Rock Canyon Loop (700m) explores a short stretch of it.

Blackiston Falls

To extend your hike you could take in Blackiston Falls (1km; 30min return) from here too.

Overnight options

Both short hikes can be extended into considerable overnight hikes to destinations like the tranquil Goat Lake, Lost Lake and the spectacular Twin Lakes area. Each has its own backcountry campsite: get permits at the Waterton Lakes Visitor Centre.
