Andean Baroque
South Valley art & music

The route of Andean Baroque, “Ruta del Barocco Andino” in Spanish, is a series of tourist attractions that showcase the best of Peru’s Baroque art, architecture, and music. It’s associated with the Jesuit Order, also called the Society of Jesus.
The English version of their website is a great resource for planning visits to the four churches in Cusco with the best Baroque art: the Church of the Company of Jesus in Cusco’s main square (Plaza de Armas), the Church of Saint Peter the Apostle in Andahuaylillas, the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Huaro, and the Chapel of the Purified Virgin of Canincunca.
