Sacred Valley In-A-Day 1

The Sacred Valley & Textiles

Karen & Daniel Weaving Demonstration in Chinchero

This is the best tour for culture and history. See Sacred Valley In-A-Day 2 for an itinerary with animals and more archeology.

Have an early breakfast in Cusco, then leave by 8:30 to drive to Chinchero. It’s best to have an appointment at a weaving cooperative so they know to expect you, but you can also go to the Traditional Textile Center of Cusco or any of the weaving cooperatives along the road that are open. The demonstration is very similar no matter who you go to.

Try to leave Chinchero by 10am and drive to Maras & Moray. There is only one place to eat at Moray, Mil, and you need reservations months in advance. Eat an early lunch in Chinchero or wait until you get to Urubamba.
