Circuit 2

The longest option

Circuit 2 “Alto Largo” is the long version of the higher circuit, dark blue on the map.

You enter Machu Picchu llaqta through the famed Main Gate. You see almost everything on the “Alto Corto” except the Water Mirrors. This circuit goes all the way to the far end of the llaqta, to the trailhead for Huayna Picchu. You see the Sacred Plaza, Temple of 3 Windows, Main Temple and Condor Temple.

This is my recommended route. Estimated time 3 hours.
