Hilton Garden Inn

Best 3* for Hilton Points Members

Cusco Hilton Garden Inn

Lots of people book this hotel because of the Hilton name and because the view looks great on the website. I include the hotel in the app mostly to caution people to consider what they’re actually getting for their money.

If you’re a Hilton points member, it’s still worth staying here. There are many nice features at the hotel but if you’re not tied to the Hilton name, at least compare prices with other hotels in the 4* and 5* categories.

The hotel has a very odd layout as you arrive at street level above the hotel and go down the elevator to the rest of the hotel. The furniture in the restaurant and common areas is outdated and uncomfortable. Google maps says it’s a 17 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas and it might take you 17 minutes down from the Hilton to the Plaza but you won’t want to walk back up and taxis charge double to go up that road than anywhere else in the center.

The whole place feels more like a generic corporate hotel than a Cusco hotel. You’ll get better value and much more culture and character if you stay in a hotel closer to the Plaza de Armas.
