Museo Amano Lima
Textil Precolombino
Museo Textil Precolombino Amano has an impressive collection of ancient textile art. There are rare textiles like cotton lace from over 2,000 years ago and ancient capes woven with feathers from the Amazon.
It is divided in three expositions: Chronological Textile Sequence, Raw Materials and Textile Tools and the Yoshitaro Amano Room. Yoshitarō Amano was a Japanese businessman who loved South America and lived for a time in Lima.
Even if you’re not into textiles, the museum café is worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood.
