Clinics & Hospitals

Most travelers use clinics

Peru has a system of public hospitals, which are free for Peruvians. There are also private clinics, which are generally preferred for quality and wait times.

Most travelers and foreign residents use private clinics when they need a doctor. Check with your insurance before you come to Peru so you’ll know if there is a specific clinic in Peru or Lima that you should go to.
