Summer: Dec, Jan & Feb

New Zealand 2015 - 433

Summer is prime holiday time all across New Zealand. Schools are out from mid-December (or earlier) until the start of February and whole sections of the economy take a break from before Christmas until mid-January to enjoy some family time and great weather.

Many city-dwellers are off at holiday homes at the beach known as ‘the bach’ (North Island) or ‘crib’ (South Island).

February is a top month to travel as kids are back at school and Mums & Dads are back at work.
