The Frost House
Poem-worthy historic site
The white farmhouse is none other than Robert Frost’s homestead, at least for a little while. Fans of the poet will want to check out this basic museum where Frost once lived and wrote to see editions of his work and family photographs.
Everyone else will enjoy the scenic 1/4 mile loop through the woods with a handful of plaques featuring Frost’s poetry. Perhaps the same view that inspired Frost will set inspire a new wordsmith.
The Frost House serves as a center for poetry and hosts workshops, readings, and celebrates Robert Frost Day annually in July. W
hile the house is only open part time and partially used by a poet in residence, respectful visitors are always welcome on the grounds, nature trail, and front porch.
