Bangles & beads in the Kissaria
Abdellatif Bellawi and his son have two shops in the Kissaria, just a few doors from each other in the same passage, selling an interesting range of costume jewellery and accessories.
The walls of both shops are decked with interesting bits and bobs, from chunky Berber silver bangles to delicate pendants and West African glass money beads, some of them antique. They also have beads, earrings and pendants made from orange Mediterranean coral, amber and semi-precious stones, necklaces of old silver coins, and Gnaoua caps with cowrie shells.
Prices are good, and Abdellatif and son make some of the pieces themselves, so you can even commission them to order.
