Café Arabe

Cocktail bar and Moroccan-Italian restaurant (l,d: $$–$$$)

cafe arabe

The Café Arabe, despite its name, isn't a café but a Moroccan-Italian restaurant that doubles as a cocktail bar.

Marrakech - Café Arabe

Because it's one of the few places where you can drink in the Medina, the Café Arabe is very popular as a bar. They do good if slightly pricey cocktails, plus beer, wine, juices, teas and mocktails.

Marrakech - Café Arabe

The best time to drop by for a drink is at sunset, when you can sit on the terrace and watch the sun go down over the Medina.

Café Arabe

There's also a downstairs patio and a cosy salon. To eat, they have Moroccan dishes (140–250dh), including couscous and a range of tajines. Alternatively there's pasta (90–110dh), and Italian main dishes (140–180dh), all well served and very tasty, and of course you can have wine with your meal.
