Airport

Aeropuerto Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez (MAD)

Getting into town from the airport is straight-forward with fast and efficient Train, Bus and Metro links from the main terminals.

Metro

Going by metro is the easiest way in from the airport with Line 8 taking you in from Terminals 2 and 4 to Nuevos Ministerios station, just north of the city centre in around 20 mins. You will need to buy a tarjeta multi transport card for €2.50 and then pay €1.50 plus a €3 airport supplement or €7.30 for a 10-journey ticket plus the supplement. Alternatively you can purchase the tarjeta turistica from €10 a day without the need for the airport supplement.

Bus

The yellow Línea Exprés buses run every 15-20 mins from each terminal and take around 40 mins to reach the city centre stops at Cibeles and Atocha (cost €5).
