Booksa, Zagreb
Coffee, tea & a bit of culture
Part cafe, part co-working space and part cultural venue, Booksa has become something of a legend since first opening its doors in 2004. Laid back, soothing and looking out onto a leafy little square, it serves alcoholic drinks, coffees, and a good choice of leaf teas.
Literary evenings are timetabled throughought the year - if international guest authors are involved, the proceedings will be in English.
Books is technically a private club and you have to pay a one-off annual membership fee of €2. However you do get free Wifi and the chance to hang around with your laptop all day - so if you need a quiet and welcoming workspace it’s well worth paying.
