Buses

Buses are faster more frequent than trains and represent the only form of public transport up and down the coast.

A host of operators offer services; many of which allow internet booking. Otherwise tickets should be bought at the centralised ticket office of the bus station of your departure.

Booking in advance is advisable, especially on popular routes involving Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik.

Inter-city buses will pick up and drop off from small coastal towns on major routes but you can’t always reserve advance tickets from these spots.
