Like Panorama, the ski resort of Kimberley lies in the Purcell Mountains, though the squat foothills that surround this relatively small latter resort are a far cry from their hulking cousins further north.

Despite this difference, the resorts compare in many ways, with Kimberley also best-known for intermediate skiing. It’s also particularly great for learning, with ideal wide green runs. And with its collection of incredible expert bump runs tucked around the back of the resort, different ability groups are kept apart. And all this gathers above another little dull but handy resort village.

As the sunniest place in BC, Kimberley also shares Panorama’s reputation for iciness. But here, if you’re not happy with the conditions you can exchange your ticket (within an hour of issue) for one to use another day.
