Bow Falls Loop

Best easy hike from downtown: 1.5hrs/Easy/5km

For an easy hour or so’s hike, follow the level Bow Falls Trail from the southern side of the bridge at the end of Banff Avenue.

It leads east to the powerful waterfalls and rapids of Bow Falls. Beyond the white water, and over the river along Golf Course Road you’ll see a trailhead on your right that allows you to follow a riverside trail to a bridge. Cross this too, and follow signs back to town via the Banff Springs Hotel (stop for afternoon tea?) and Spray Avenue.
