Kolonaki

Lycabettus hill, Athens, Greece

Nestled under the watchful eye of Lycabettus Hill with St George’s Church on top, Kolonaki is considered the ‘posh’ neighbourhood of Athens, where the rich and famous – be that actor, singer or politician – come to lunch, drink coffee and shop, rather like Mykonos island.

Tip: Look around you at the unique neoclassical architecture of the houses – along with Lycabettus Hill, it makes for a unique backdrop.

Shopping

Kolonki is where the expensive fashion houses have their stores, as well as Greek designer ateliers and museum shops such as the Benaki Museum Shop and other galleries, jewellery stores and delights such as delicatessens selling unique produce to cater to the well heeled residents, both Athenians and Embassy staff alike.
