Walking & Cycling

The Brits love walking and cycling, with trails, routes to follow, paths and rights of way wherever you go. Bike beside canals and rivers around Birmingham stroll beside the River Avon in Stratford on the Riverside Walk, follow the Avon Valley Footpath through Bidford to Marcliff and go walkabout around Stratford and other towns on self-guided or guided walks.

Rambling through the fields between villages is a favourite pastime in the country along signposted pathways. Long-distance hikes include the Shropshire Way, the Heart of England Way with the Arden Way and the Centenary Way, the Cotswold Way and Shakespeare's Way from Stratford-upon-Avon to London.

Key walking and biking destinations include Cannock Chase, the Malvern Hills, the Cotswolds, the Wye Valley, the Peak District National Park, the Shropshire Hills and the beautiful Welsh border country.
